LAST POST

from the European Adventure

In making our way back to Lisbon, Portugal we stopped off in Toledo, Spain.  I wish we would have included Toledo in our travels because it was another one of Spain’s beauties.  Our hotel alone was an architectural beauty and the view was unbelievable!

I adore Spain!

Definitely one of my favorites!  And I got to see the Osbourne Bull again several times as we made our way south.

Spain has the best road trip terrain.  Rolling hills of green, with rocky hills at times, tall mountains and the occasional castle.  Just a gorgeous drive!

We stopped off at a restaurant for lunch today and came across some Spanish restaurant owners that found us Americans to be quite annoying.  I have to admit that we kind of were.

Kevin with his migraines has made him a VERY picky eater.  Super hard to cook for and even harder to eat out with.  Add in the language barrier and the fact that he has been getting migraines just about every day, and he is a little hard to work with 🙂

So after we asked for english menus and couldn’t get the camera menu thing to work, we attempted to order and once we were done, the guy turned around (but not completely) and rolled his eyes!!!  LOL!!

I couldn’t believe it!

But I chose not to tell Kevin (until we left) so as not to add to his frustration.  Once we got our food and ate, we told the waiter that the food was delicious and then we gave him a 25% tip!!  (5 – 10% is considered generous here).  Maybe he will be a little more tolerant with the next picky Americans that come into his restaurant.

We can hope!

Here’s the map of our trip.  The complete trip! We put almost 10,000 kilometers on our rental car and had the vacation of a lifetime!

We started with the black line and finished with the red.

I got better with this map thing didn’t I?

I am a little exhausted and am super excited to get back home, but ………..

WHAT A RIDE!!!

Thanks to all for coming along!  Hope you enjoyed yourself and learned a little something too.  I enjoyed hearing from you through blog comments, emails and text messages.

Definitely made the trip so much more fun!!!

LOVE TO ALL!!
